Salma Dam

The Salma Dam is a hydroelectric and irrigation dam project located on the Hari River in the Chishti Sharif District of Herat Province in western Afghanistan. It is a 107.5 m high embankment earth and rock-fill dam with a length of 551 m.

Encardio-rite executed the monitoring work of the project by supplying, installing, and data monitoring of geotechnical instruments that included piezometers , pressure cells , seepage measurement devices, magnetic extensometers, borehole extensometers, strain gages , portable readout units , seismographs, and rain gauge.
